My bf offered to buy me an A/C, but thus far I've demurred (wouldn't need it the other 357 days of the year LOL).

Thurs. night still felt very toasty, but after the early morning rain Friday, things felt far more reasonable & seasonable
Made such a difference, after what was an uninterrupted week of 90 degree (or greater) high temps
Makes me so grateful merely to have "normal" warm-weather temperatures, instead of what felt like an ordeal of endurance.

I have less energy and interest in summer. Mostly why Im not post here much.

I saw Burlington had their warmest July on record.

Hang in there guys, Fall is around the corner!

Not only hot but brutally humid.

All of the solar energy I produced in July, I used up with the A/C.

We put in a mini-split three years ago - our main living space is all open and west facing and it has cathedral ceilings - aka, it turns into an oven in July lol. The mini-split has become a life saver, though now I think I'm spoiled and am forcing myself to keep it off only when it's really unbearable.

I almost bought an AC the last stretch of this hot weather. It won't take much more to convince me of it. Only problem is at the cabin that would mean running the generator to run it which I don't like doing.

This has definitely been a brutal summer, though worse for others than us. I'm grateful we're not dealing with some of the higher temps, and obviously, fires.

Its been a pretty average (or typical) summer but what has been above normal is the humidity and that is whats making it feel worse. That Bermuda High has been the culprit.

It really stinks BTV is the only Climo site in Vermont because they become a heat zone there and unfair to stats across the state or even local area for that matter.

. Let me see if I can grab some info from other parts of the state. I'll try to post later if Im not drained like I was yesterday.

Sure feels like the most HUMID summer in my recent memory. Glad to have window AC's in the bedrooms at least.

Also, as tkln said above, thankful that everything isn't on fire like so many parts of the country right now.
