Freeze Warning for Franklin, Lamoille, Orange, Washington

Frost Advisory for Addison, Bennington, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Rutland , Windham, & Windsor

* HAZARDS...SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND AREAS OF FROST.

* TEMPERATURES...LOWS IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S.

* TIMING...TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW FREEZING
AFTER MIDNIGHT WITH AREAS OF FROST FORMING DURING THE PRE-DAWN
HOURS. TEMPERATURES WILL THEN RISE BACK ABOVE FREEZING 1 TO 2
HOURS AFTER SUNRISE ON MONDAY.

Does anyone have views of Mt. Washington? Apparently webcam showing whiteout conditions and wind chill near 0

I have to drive about 5 miles to see Mt. Washington and no, I didn't see it today. I did however see the Franconia Range as I drove through the notch around 2 pm. The tops were white with what I passed off as the last of winter's snow. But now that you mention it, there was a gleam to it that may have been new ice/sleet. BTW - that view of Mt. Washington is from about 90 miles, so usually I don't see it at all.

Heads up today for strong storms. Whole state is in a Risk zone from SPC.

Line entering VT now with a Warning on it.

* UNTIL 400 PM EDT.

* AT 300 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING ONE INCH DIAMETER HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THE STORM WAS NEAR WADHAMS...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

Edit:: There is now a Warning on that cell about to get to the VT/NY border.
