Have you guys heard anything lately on the 27th storm? I'm still tracking it. Not sure if its off the coast or up the apps.

What are the local mets saying?

The one I saw last night (Fox44 news at 10) said nothing more than you - just that they are watching it and it could possibly bring lots of snow. Too early to tell.

My wholly amateur info. (only weather site I check is NWS-well, also Cambium's posts on C-D):
Observation: it snowed maybe an inch overnight (morning of 12/25, today) here (SW VT).

NWS hourly forecast:
Hourly Weather Forecast for 42.86N 72.57W
says 10 inches of snow between late Weds. & Thurs. afternoon !

I like snow, am just a bit about any extreme forecast. Guess we'll see in a day or two what actually happens, precipitation-wise...

Need this storm to come through and begin setting the base for the VAST system and XC trails. If we can get another 8-12" after this we should have a decent base as long as we can avoid a friggin' warm up.

There was about 3" of snow on I-93 this morning from St. J over to Woodstock, NH, which usually isn't a big deal but at 10-11 a.m. nothing had been plowed and the going was a bit slow. Nice dry powder and anytime someone passed me (I was doing 45-50) there would be a total whiteout.

Over 1 inch moisture. Temps in the 20s = about 12:1 ratios. Which means a foot of snow. Good luck guys, congrats, and be safe!!

I thought there was supposed to be a storm last night. I stayed in Vermont to avoid traveling during it. I woke up this morning and nothing happened. Any idea when the best time is to leave? I was planning to leave on Friday. Keep in mind, I need to head across upstate New York to get home so lake effect snow in that region is relevant to my travels too.
