I was outside scraping paint this morning in a steady breeze. I could feel my core temperature dropping around 10:30 and I was in the sun. I put on a tuque and a sweatshirt. As of 9 pm it's about 38 degrees under clear skies. Look out flower bed that I didn't get around to covering.

This is a first for all the years I have lived in Vermont. No frost yet and it's October! We picked more tomatoes, peppers and a couple of eggplant yesterday that we left in the garden to see what would happen. The warmer weather is definitely noticeable. We are about two to four weeks off from normal temps. thus far. The low's are 15-20 degrees off.

We had 5.36 inches in September here at the Burlington International Airport with the normal being 3.64 inches. Our entire monthly average fell in one 24 hour period (3.06 inches from September 4th to September 5th)"

We are getting some nice warm weather for the rest of the week. The forecast is calling for mid to high seventies. Looks like October is trying to keep the 18 month streak going.

We're at 19 in a row down here.
But Hartford broke the streak in June being at normal. Here's a graph I made of BDR at the coast of all the consecutive above and below normal months. Notice 2 things, 19 is blowing away everything AND... there's more below normal consecutive months.
I'll try to do one for BTV when I get time.
