Default Hiden Lake and Sunderland Woods - Colchester

We were told to look in these areas for a house in Colchester.
Any input would be appreciated or on any other areas in Colchester.

Thanks.

I live in Colchester but down in Mallets Bay. Sunderland Woods is a nice neighborhood as far as I know. I don't know anything about Hidden Lakes.

Colchester is pretty big (area wise) and it depends on what you are looking for. We are right by the lake with the boat launch down the street and a public beach within walking distance. We are also quite a bit away from the interstate which can be a negative.

Your best bet is to come and visit to see what appeals to you. PM me if you have any specific questions. We've lived in Colchester for 5 years.

Julie

I live in Colchester as well Sunderland woods is a nice neighborhood, but I as well don't know about Hidden Lake. As Julie* stated Colchester is a big town. I live in Malletts Bay also and think it's one of the nicer areas in town. I have the bay less than an 1/8 of a mile away and farm fresh produce less than one mile in the other direction. The bike path runs past our home as well. I drive on I-89 every day and it's five minutes from Malletts Bay without traffic and only about 10 minutes with traffic. There are multiple ways to get to Burlington from Malletts Bay and that trip is about 10 minutes. On the Essex side of Colchester you have to deal with more traffic and commute times are a bit longer. We have a few friends that live off Rt 2 (Theodore Roosevelt Hwy) heading towards the islands and that area has much more privacy. The lot sizes are much bigger and have less of a suburban feel. That part of Colchester is about 2-5 minutes from exit 17 on the interstate and about 15-20 minutes from Burlington. There is little traffic in that part of town.
