DJs is on Main St in Ludlow across from the Mill and close to Aubuchon Hardware.

To the OP:
Breakfast spot which we like in Ludlow -- Cafe at de light, in the Mill.

Breakfast and lunch in Chester -- The Heritage on 103 by Gallery 103.

Oh bring a cooler and stop at Singleton's Store on 131 (just off 103 south of Ludlow) Amazing smoked meats -- if you like bacon, I highly recommend the cob-smoked. The smoked pork chops are outrageous. I bring home several hundred dollars of smoked meats worth each time I am up there -- I take orders from my friends. It's that good!

I have Songleton's store on my list! I just bought my wife an electric car cooler for Xmas for that reason!

Thanks again!

One thing I would suggest you do if dining at DJ's and Harry's: make reservations. Ludlow will be crawling with skiiers as it is the MLK Jr holiday weekend. The restaurants get crowded fast with the apres ski dinner crowd.

If you like chocolate mousse -- Harry's has killer mousse. Ask if they have it if you decide to go. Once you're seated order your mousse BEFORE your dinner. They sell out of mousse very quickly on a busy night.

Also -- Singleton's -- people flock to the store and buy up the bacon like it's going out of style. I've seen an empty case on holiday weekends by Saturday afternoon. I don't know whether you can phone ahead and secure some with a credit card, but it might not hurt to ask. I'm also heading up that weekend, and will be as Singleton's bright and early Saturday.

I haven't, but the menu looks very appealing; plus I am a sucker for old buildings. If you go -- please let us know how it was.

It was "ok"

The Aspen was basic. Clean! Very nice owner, just all we needed.

Up for Breakfest was very good. However, not worth $80 ( included tip) for eggs/Breakfest.

Garlic Johnny's Italian food restaurant was great!

Thank you for the feedback. I've passed Garlic Johns a number of times and never stopped in.

Johnny Seesaw's (closer to Bromley) is another place I've wondered about.

Johnny Seesaws was packed! Along with Thai Basil.
I picked up a few smoked meats at Singletons. Had the bacon this morning, mmmmm

The barn in Pawlet is a nice ride and the food is good and you truly are in a barn. Can't get more Vermont than that!
