Does Vermont have any laws allowing children to transfer/attend to another public school if parents do not wish to send them to the school they are assigned based on their home address?

My brother is having some issues in Texas and I just found out that Texas law allows public school transfers so I figured I would ask about Vermont since we will be moving to Vermont in the spring. Thanks for any info!

Vermont does not have public school choice unless you move to a town that does not have it's own public school. Some towns have elementary school but no middle or high school, therefore there would be choice for the middle and high school.

There are many towns in vermont that do have school choice. We currently live in proctor which has a very small school that gets noticed.I want my children to go to this school. We are renting and theres like 4 towns within 15 miles that have school choice. I would ask the broker before purchasing or even looking and tell them what you need in a property that would fit all your needs. Vermont is beautiful and i wish you well with your trip
