I don't know how much clearer the signs need to be that 108 is not a thoroughfare for large vehicles...it is one of my favorite drives though.

It's obvious that traffic control signs don't get through to everybody. It's not yet a serious enough of a problem in terms of incidents, but width and height stanchions and barriers could be constructed at both ends of Vt 108 with ample turnout space for non compliant vehicles. But of course this would require out of state engineering consultants to study and ponder this for 18 months and then take another 18 months to construct, followed by a court injunction for disturbing a creature or plant, so being Vermont it probably makes better sense to leave it alone and consider the occasional wayward truck or oversize RV as a normal seasonal event.

The notch is a Darwinian choke point. No need to do anything but push the remains over the edge on the Jeff side.

LOL, when I was a teen, I decided to bike from Waterbury up to the notch and back. Started out about 7 AM to have a full day. I went up, fooled around at the Big Spring and the refrigerator rocks for a while, and was back by noon, wondering what to do with the rest of the day. The ride down was worth every inch of the pedal up.
