Always wanted to visit Vermont and promised children when I graduate from college, we will. Being a family from the midwest with children who have never been on a plane or seen the ocean, this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us all. Does anyone have any ideas of a lodge that has no smoking, likes families, rural but by the ocean and is not old and dumpy? No smoking on the entire grounds is a must because all ready dealt with cancer with a baby and she will not be around anyone smoking or having the odor of smoking at the ripe old age of eight now. I know I may get lots of different places from different people, but that is all right. I do not graduate from college for one and half years so lots of time to browse the places suggested on the internet. Thank you in advance for all of your help.

First of all, Vermont is not on the ocean. BUT, we do have Lake Champlain! I'd check out the Basin Harbor Club in Ferrisburg (Vergennes).
All public places in Vermont are no smoking and from what I understand, most hotels/motels/resorts are now too. Definately ask though! If you want any more specific recommendations, please let us know! |
