Hi,

I'm in the process of becoming a full-fledged Vermont resident however a curve ball came my way so I'm reaching out for some assistance.

This is sort of a strange request for me but here it goes....

The car I had arranged to take the DL road test through a friend is now not available. I am looking for a private person that lives near Bennington or Brattleboro whom would be willing to assist with transportation to Bennington from Brattleboro and then loan me their vehicle for the duration of the road test. I would then require return transportation to Brattleboro after the completion of the road test. I am willing to pay some cash for your time and fuel costs.

I'm hoping that this can happen on late Thursday afternoon (3/7), however unfortunately I will not be able to confirm until late afternoon Wednesday (3/6) My permit written exam is on Wednesday afternoon though I'm very certain I will pass.

I was a licensed driver when I lived on the west coast years back, but I was formerly living in NYC and didn't keep my California license. I'm in my late 30's, male, sober, responsible and with a clean driving history.

If anyone local out there can assist or knows someone that might be into helping out a hopeful Vermonter please send me a PM.

I can provide professional references upon request.

Thank you for reading.

Taking the road test on Friday 3/6 in Newport is also a possibility. I would require transport to and from Woodbury or Montpelier.

Ha thanks for that correction, it was a long day. I have a road test scheduled now for next week and I believe I actually have a vehicle confirmed.

My VT DMV experience in Montpelier was amazingly smooth and everyone was very helpful and friendly. It was far from dreadful like the NYS DMV.
