cheap rent is easy to find in Rutland and most places are safe, although they may not be beautiful. Rutland has a big mix of housing options but I would say most rent is affordable and very livable. Try the local paper, The Rutland Herald, they have a website. I think this is probably your best bet for finding a place, unless your are just driving around town looking for FOR RENT signs. Your average for a 1/2 bedrm apartment in a decent area is probably around $600 but you could go a little higher or lower based on your preferences and budget. Good luck!
