Is there any public transportation from Mt. Snow/West Dover/Wilmington to Burlington/Essex Junction? We're going to be vacationing near West Dover next week but our son is living in Burlington and will need to get back there when we leave. Is there any bus or train closer then Brattleboro that goes up to Burlington from there? Our direction when we head home will be Southwest so we don't want to drive 40 minutes east if we don't have to.

Brattleboro is the closest Amtrak train station. The same applies to Greyhound bus stations too.

He can transfer on a maze of regional buses from Bennington to Burlington. You can research it yourself on this website:

There is a possibility that the MOOver might get your son from Wilmington to Brattleboro. From there it is not hard to get to Burlington.

Thanks for your replies. I ended up taking him to Brattleboro, and he caught the Amtrak from there - what a cute town! I looked into the MOOver bus, but the timing was wrong for the train on the day he needed to leave.
