Hello,
I am seeking advice for a first winter vacation to Vermont. What city area would be most advisable? I am looking to ski but would also like to be near a city/town with restaurants, entertainment..etc
Any advice is appreciated

Stowe Vt. might check all your boxes.

Or if you need a bigger city and dont mind a 30 mile drive SugarBush ski area is just south of Burlington.

In good weather(dry roads) Sugarbush is an hour drive from Burlington. In bad weather alot longer.

Stowe would be the best choice, all the preferences you mentioned are nearby or right at the ski hill. Okemo(Ludlow) and Mt Snow(Wilmington) would also work well.

Ski Killington! Stay anywhere near the mountain and you don't have to get in the car again. Plenty of great restraunts and nightlife and shuttles to get you around.
