Pictures of Vermont
Let's start a thread with any random shots of Vermont. It can range anywhere from foliage shots to snow to downtown scenes, etc...
I think this will help people establish a personal connection for those who plan on relocating to our state.

Very bleak and chilly-looking. Nice photos, though, and very artfully done. How was you first "major" holiday in Vermont, Gypsy? Did your family enjoy it or did they miss LI?

Well, it's just the three of us. It was nice (Thanksgiving). I cooked for us and then we went out into the creepy day for a walk. I spoke to my family in NY. I wasn't too upset.
The thing you find out about rural Vermont is how stark and alone you can be here. It's weird. A person who is afraid to 'be alone' without neighbors or friends near by would not do well here. You really do have to be an independent person, entertain yourself, and enjoy the company of your family (and keep busy with hobbies).

regarding the ability to "be alone" living in rural VT - do you feel that when you do emerge from that environment you find if difficult to interact in and with large groups of people? I'm just wondering if all that quietness and peace causes you to become oversensitive to urban life, loud noises, more people ect. I'm contemplating a move to Central VT and while I tend to value my alone time, I don't want to become so isolated I become anxious in a more urban setting - ie, unable to enjoy it. Your thoughts?
Beautiful pictures. Send the snow and cold to Washington, DC

We haven't been back to 'the big city' in three months. I don't see it as being a problem if we do go to a populated place. It probably will be good for us to do that on a trip so we can see what we aren't missing.
It's very easy not to see or talk to anyone all day here. (I don't work right now). My big trip is to the local library (sorely lacking but it's not their fault the state doesn't give to them).
