Default Cool owl photo from Brownsville area

Did about 100 miles though the lovely state of Vermont last Sunday in our new car,m gorgeous day, crisp but sunny.

We got a nice surprise on 1 road with a BIG owl perched on a road sign RIGHT next to the road, we turned around and took pictures. My wife was a bit freaked out because it was staring at her from about 10 feet away with her window down as she clicked away.

Then it flew off but was chased by 2 big crows.... not sure if the owl was
hurt (flew fine to my eye) or if he had snatched up a mouse or whatever and
the crows were trying to poach it from him.

This was at about 10:30 am in the Hartland-Brownsville area.

LOVE the sign. Ah that rural VT humor.

Very cool! A Barred Owl, I think. They are beautiful creatures--unusual to see one in the daylight like that.
