I think we will be starting the night with Rusty Dewees at the Flynn in the afternoon. Totally stoked.

Isn't he terrific?

The first time I saw him, he was in my friend David Budbill's stage play "Judevine", in a tiny little theatre, and he was unbelieveable. He's a really talented guy.

Chaz - had a great time at First Night. Here is a list of who we saw in order from 2PM to midnight.

Tammy Fletcher and the Discipiles
Rusty DeWees
Kilamajaro
Atlantic Crossing
Kamakazie Comedy
Wrecking Ball
Anais Mitchell

Wonder if you were at any of above shows?

Hi MRVphotog!

I caught Rusty DeWees, and laughed like a fool. Were you at the show in which he apologized to the mother of the 10 month old for what his first words were likely to be? How about the story about Reese Witherspoon? He's a talented guy...and how about what's-her-name from Fairfield, VT...the 15 year old award winning country singer he had in the act? And how's about the fiddle player Don Como?

I saw Kilamanjaro as well - like most people in Chittenden County I once took a few lessons from Paul Asbel. I remember him showing me the changes to Lennon and Mcartney's "Here, There and Everywhere". I was happy with that. Then the first week's homework assignment was to figure it out in 12 keys. I was somewhat less happy hearing that That took me a while...

I like Tammy Fletcher - I'll more readily accept an invitation to a wedding if they've booked her I hear she's taken a bit of a different musical direction as of late. How was she?

Did you see the parade, or either of the fireworks displays?

Happy 08!!!

David Beckett
