First Night Burlington
We are thinking of making a trip up 4 or 5 days over new years eve and into early Jan. in order to take part in First Night Burlington and do some winter sight seeing. It looks like First Night Burlington does make effort to include events for children and since we will be bringing our 2 and 4 year olds that is important. So my question is...
Is First Night Burlington really family friendly? What places can we go to have some nice outdoor family/child friendly fun? (we do not want to try and ski since our girls are so young but would be interested in sledding and such)

First Night Burlington is an amazing celebration, plenty of kids activities. Last year the night culminated with an incredible concert at the Flynn with Elizabeth Von Trapp and the VYO. She lives here in the MRV and is a member of the Von Trapp's of Sound of Music fame.

Yes - First Night is all about families.
Even so, most people I know (kids or not...doesn't matter) don't accept any party invitations - people are too excited about First Night and don't want to lose the flexibility that night...

If you have your own sleds: Sledding Hillside Guide to Northwestern Vermont
If not, Bolton Valley is about 30 minutes from Burlington & has a tubing/sledding hill. For horse-drawn, try Vermont Sleigh Rides - tubing, sledding, snowshoeing, ice skating, x-country skiing, walking paths, hiking, Stowe, skiing, woods. Charlie Horse Vermont Sleigh Rides (broken link)

We emailed them and got an automated response that after 20 years they were closed...they referred me to some of the places in Stowe...
