It's odd, I've never been to Vermont but thinking about it or looking at pictures I literally feel homesick. For whatever reason I've always felt like home might be there. I just find the thought of leaving my family here in Colorado difficult (my sister especially) but I feel such a longing to go. Maybe one day I can visit and decide if it's the right move. In the meantime, I will be quietly lurking, looking at these beautiful pictures of lucky Vermonters.

The road collapse was not Irene but from a large rain storm in 2007.Those pictures were taken in the GMNF http://www.fs.usda.gov/greenmountain.

I spoke with a homeowner and that one picture had a three or four foot culvert buried under the bridge and so much stuff (tree limbs and debris) came down at once and blocked the culvert that it took the whole crossing out.

The river shots,I'll have to look and get back to you,but the shot with the post's is the Grand Island Ferry crossing.
I have a lot of river shots and somewhere have them recorded as to where but just not handy.
