Why are most Vermont houses white?

Isn't white the most common color for houses in general (at least when they're painted houses)? Completely anecdotally, it's the most common color I see here in Providence.

I also think there were only a couple colors for houses back in the day (hundreds of years ago) because of lack of dyes for paint. So white was the most common. Maybe they're just trying to keep their houses looking as historic as possible?

Thought this was cool that you can go in the old tower at BTV..

air travel is a MESS today... very lucky my wife made it home .

Isn't that the BTV airport? I remember the first time I ever landed there in a plane during an early summer day and seeing those green mountains surround the airport made me weep at the incredible beauty of the state.

When the weather is clear flying in/out of BTV the scenery is breathtaking!
