I've forgotten to get my son's 2 bus drivers something for Christmas...I need a quick idea. I am not friendly with either of these men but I am concerned I will be making a mistake 'not' giving them something. Money IS an issue...I am going up to the school for a class party in a few hours. I really didn't know if people gave the kid's drivers gifts so I blanked...
Any ideas and comments? Get them to me fast..thanks.

I never heard of people giving xmas present to bus driver but a cheap and fast thing is a "rental movie" gift certificate (if they exist in your area) and a bag of microwave popcorn. You put a note saying he deserves a break!

I never thought about school bus drivers, but when I was a kid the mailman, regular beat cop, etc all got a bottle of spirits which I realize will not work for a bus driver and to many this day in age consider it taboo for anyone. I suppose a small card and maybe an inexpensive gift card to, shudder, Walmart or Home Depot, etc would work. With budgets being tight I know many folks really appreciate something they can put toward necessities.

Haha, first thing I thought of was a pint of whiskey. Keeps the chill off on those cold mornings, eh?
A pair of heated socks. A pair of family band radios.

When I was a kid my parents gave our bus driver a carton of cigs or a bottle of booze but he was our driver for many years and knew him well.

To be honest, I wouldn't worry about it as I don't think it's expected these days.

I don't think it's expected, but my mom usually baked some cookies or bread for everyone involved at my school (enough for them to share in a break room or take home to their families). Cheap & fairly simple!

This is my favorite gift to give .... ground coffee. Some years when I am feeling a little extra jingle in my pocket it might be Starbucks. Years when there is a little less jingle, it is usually Foldger's gourmet. Eitherway, I have known this to be a big hit, esp. with the male teachers which are just a bit more difficult to buy for. For around $5 you have a gift that gives for a couple days! Esp. on the cold days)
