Anyone know if such a route exists? I have an elderly relative who would like to come visit.

Doesn't have to be Providence, could be anywhere in that general area (relative resides in Foxboro, MA).

Strangely, Greyhound seems to have a route to Providence, but nothing going back to Vermont. Their after hours customer service (I work nights, so I am rarely awake when they are open) is staffed by people who are difficult to understand, so I can not get a straight answer about Greyhound.

For Foxboro, MA, you'd use commuter rail to Boston/South Station. South Station is the regional bus hub. There is a Megabus route in addition to several Greyhound routes.
