I can comment on Lyndon & Burlington.
Lyndon: Small town. College is isolated from the town center. If you don't have a car, you'll be stuck on campus. From what I understand, it is somewhat of a suitcase school - lots of kids leave for the weekend. If you like the outdoors, you've got great skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, etc. nearby. The nearest movie theater is in St. Johnsbury. Lyndon is a great school for meteorology, TV/Radio, & outdoor recreation.
Burlington - Champlain College is located adjacent to UVM, and is a short walk to downtown. TONS of stuff going on in Burlington. Lots of great shops, restaurants, bars etc. Burlington is a quintecential college town. I went to UVM and had a great time in Burlington. Champlain used to be a 2 year school and is now a 4 year. It's a good school for Criminal Justice, ACcounting, Business type stuff, and they now have a major in video game programming.
I guess it all depends on YOU - do you want to be in a quiet, small town with little distractions, or do you want to be in a fun, lively college town?
