Is this indicitive of Vermont as a whole?

What do you want? W AKA Boy Wonder is a lousy president-

But only VT has a town with a warrant out for Bush's arrest. Love him or hate him- Brattleboro is guilty of treason.

There are many liberal people here. I am not one of them...which is unfortunate since I am a Social Worker. There are many non liberal people here as well. However, since laws have change in recent years, the state takes on the flavor of what the laws allow. Please don't jump in with hostility. I am not bringing up the issue in an aggressive manner.

I can't speak for others, but your thoughts and feelings do not arouse any hostility in me. We live in a vastly diverse world. I respect differences. You're describing your experience, which will be different from mine and from others', and I think that's what makes all our viewpoints valuable and usually containing something each of us can learn from.

I am curious about your statement that it's unfortunate that you're not liberal because you are a social worker. Can you describe how your not being liberal while being a social worker is an issue?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reminder but according to the political prejudgists would that make him a conservative socialistic humorist?

All through my Social Work education and my younger years I considered myself very open minded. Until my children began to grow and I understood the impact that other peoples choices have on my family and my comfort level. This is rooting from my spiritual beliefs..however, I need to get off this subject as to not cause an uproar. I do my best to keep my opinions in check...accept in my own home.

IMO this part of Vermont is NOT liberal at all. Must be all the tourists & wealthy from MA, NY, FL, and CT.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing. Having children seems to change beliefs and behaviors for many people. Some get more religious/spiritual while some get less; some get more rooted in their existing opinions; some entirely change their worldview. It is a fascinating process.

Not sure why. Feel free to change the subject, but I will say that I have no problem with anything you're saying. You've been talking about yourself and your own beliefs. I don't think you've said anything controversial sounding. You haven't called anyone names or tried to label people or viewpoints. Those are the types of communications I normally expect to cause uproars.

Thanks again for saying what's going on for you.
