Haha-definitely still on the brain. Actually pondering what an encore might look like, with more time, and thought of a couple options: One was just flying into Plattsburgh, and doing a long weekend (4-5 days) at some point between Lake Placid and Montreal to see the "other side". The other, though, was actually something like this:

Day 1: Fly into Hartford, see Basketball Hall of Fame and Dr. Seuss Museum in Springfield. Night: Northampton, MA?
Day 2: Continue North, Past Jenne Farm, Woodstock, Sugarbush Farm, Brookfield Floating Bridge, Rock of Ages Quarry Night: Montpelier, VT
Day 3: Something related to High Peaks of Green Mountains (Mount Mansfield or otherwise), and a return into Burlington
Day 4: Leave Burlington mid to late afternoon, drive to Montreal, afternoon/evening there
Day 5/6: Both Full Days in Montreal
Day 7: Full Day Between Saranac Lake/Lake Placid, NY
Day 8: Morning and early afternoon in Adirondacks, then leave, drive to Albany
Day 9: Half Day in Albany area, then drive back to Hartford for Afternoon/Evening Flight

Kinda something like that-I mean, I could see it being a busy itinerary, but that's kinda how I like it, and I also don't think there's an insane or inordinate amount of driving that something like that couldn't be done. Perhaps a flight home on Day 10 or 11 could allow it to be a little more relaxed, but overall, I think that's a route I'd like to do, some time in the next several years.

Again, cheers!

If you do this and have time, try to squeeze in Lake George on your way back to Albany.

I would drive from Springfield, MA after the museums to Brattleboro, VT for the night. It is 60 miles to a Holiday Inn Express on Chickering Dr, just off Exit 3 on I-91. I stayed there after a breakdown, decent hotel.

It would give you a good head start on Day 2 which seems VERY ambitious. You're not leaving yourself a lot of time.

Can you fly out of Albany as opposed to returning to Hartford?
