By the looks of the USGS map you would have to bushwhack due east from Rte 142 to the western bank of the Connecticut River to hit the tristate junction and the land probably is on private property anyway.

The closest you'll come is to drive over the Taconic Trail (Rte 2) from Petersburgh,NY to Williamston,Ma. and hike east or hike west from Rte 7 in Pownal,Vt.
It' pretty mountainous and I don't know if there is any marker there or not.
You can LOOK at it from the top of the Trail.

I think I read somewhere that the spot where the three states come together is in the Connecticut River. It is underwater. Also, look at the map. Vermont and New Hampshire are separated by the river (although the river is in New Hampshire, and part of the shore on the Vermont side in Brattleboro is actually in New Hampshire!).
If the spot you are looking for is actually underwater, you may have to do some diving to find it. There may be a marker on the riverbed.
But if there is some New Hampshire land on the Vermont side of the river, then the point you are looking for will be on dry land.

There actually are a couple spots where you can cross from Vermont into NH (and vice versa) without crossing the CT River. Trivia:WHERE?

Interesting. Looks like the border generally follows the historical west bank of the river. I'd forgotten that. Canaan is the obvious point, but it looks like there is a spot in East Barnett where the river must have changed course, and the border is on the Vt side of the river. When Vernon Dam was built, it appears border still followed the line of the old west bank, now underwater.
More trivia, since meanders are common, there are places where you can go west from Vermont to get to New Hampshire.

I believe you can do it in downtown Brattleboro. As I wrote earlier, I think there are strips of land on the Vermont side of the Connecticut River that are actually in New Hampshire.

I know if you take Hall Stream Road north out of Beecher Falls, you cross into NH. I lived for a couple of months on the NH side of Hall Stream Road when I worked in West Stewartstown. There was a stream flowing thru the backyard where I lived; if you crossed it, you were in Quebec.

Yup, there a couple spots in Canaan where you can cross into Pittsburg NH without crossing the river. Not a lot of people know that!
Arel-if thats true, it still doesnt count You still have to cross the river to access NH
