Hope everyone knows about Goodsearch. It is a Yahoo powered search which donates one cent per search to a charity of your choice (you get the same search results as a Yahoo search and it costs nothing to use ! )

Go to www.goodsearch.com and type in vermont where it say "who do you search for". You will see a drop down list of legitimate charities including Vermont Girl Scouts, Make a Wish, United Way, various Humane Societies, etc. I selected the Girl Scouts and even wrote the director to see if they actually get the money. She said "YES". Every so often Goodsearch sends them a check. True, it's a small one, but they appreciate any money they receive, especially in these times when folks are financially strapped and cannot donate a lot to charities.

Please, if you use it, do not abuse it. Merrily search for your Christmas recipes or whatever you normally search for, but don't hit it repeatedly for the same search item. The charity can lose its status if people do that.
