Fairlee VT has the Lake Morey Inn, which I've heard is beautiful and of course there is Stowe with many inns to hold a wedding at. Gosh, I know there is a web site specifically for Vermont weddings. I'll have to see if I can locate it and come back and post if for you.

Not sure that there is a place with separate cabins, though. Good luck.

Default Lake Champlain Echo Center

My daughter is getting married at the Echo Center in downtown Burlington. It is a museum on the shore of Lake Champlain. Yes, it does sound a bit strange, but it is a beautiful place. The ceremony will take place on the deck facing the Lake and the mountains. The view is just breath taking. The Echo Center does quite a few weddings now. We were amazed at how reasonable it was compared to Shelburne Farms and other places on the Lake. Out of town guests can fly into Burlington and enjoy the beautiful Burlington before and after the wedding. We are planning a picnic during the mid-morning of the day after the wedding at Red Rocks Park on the Lake. That way the bride and groom can spend more time with friends and family that came for this destination wedding.

Best of luck.

Things have changed at Bates Mansion, feel free to email me directly if you would like to do so.....I am very famliar with the Mansion and actually live a few roads away from it...

Another place to consider is at the Inn at Water's Edge in Ludlow area or Echo Lake Inn...check them out, beautiful places, especially Water's Edge....

Southern Vermont (Mount Snow area) is very accessible from NYC, Boston, etc and has the Green Mountains & Lake Whitingham (aka Harriman reservoir). There are a lot of great spots in that part of the state. See Visit Vermont's Mount Snow Valley | Official Mt Snow Vermont Vacation and Mount Snow Events Information

Also check out http://www.theweddingbook.net/vermont/order.php
