Best places to park in Burlington (near Echo)
How is the parking near the aquarium? Can anyone suggest a place to park not too far away?
Also, any family friendly places to eat (not a rip off) either nearby on on the way back down South on 89 toward WRJ?
Thanks...sorry I posted this so late...any replies are appreciated re: the topic(s)

There is a city-owned parking lot (pay) right at Waterfront Park which is where Echo is. Otherwise you can try to find street parking (meters). If you go this weekend I imagine it will be very busy down there as the weather is supposed to be real nice.
I'd hit up Al's French Frys on your way out. Very family friendly. Burgers & fries. It's on Williston Road (Route 2) a half mile or so east of I-89. American Flatbread is also great. It's in downtown Burlington on St. Paul Street next to City Hall Park.

Thanks.
Any ideas on a diner we could go to? A burger place is no good for the vegetarians in the family.
Has anyone been to Libby's in Colchester and is it okay?

Ironically, the Motel 6 I stayed at when I was up in the Burlington area April 12-14 was across the street from Libby's, just looking at it I had to try it. I thought it was a neat, unique place; a classic style diner, great variety of both meat and non-meat dishes, extremely friendly service and a great view (it was a crystal blue afternoon and they're on top of a hill and I was on the side facing a snow topped Mt. Mansfield in the distance.....almost felt like I was in Seattle or Portland looking at Mt. Rainier/Hood).
Obviously, a single visit by an out-of-towner may not be much, but I think you'd like it.

Libby's is good...a little out of the OPs way, but only by a couple of miles. Gypsy, if you're interested in Libby's, when you leave Burlington get on I-89 north and take exit 16 (about 2 miles after you get on 89) and take a left off hte ramp. Libby's is on your right, up on the hill.
Another idea is Tommy's City Grill. Very veg. friendly. It's on Route 7 (Shelburne Road) south of Burlington at the intersection with I-189. When you leave Burlington, take Route 7 south. After about 2 miles you'll come to some shopping plazas. You'll want to go in the one on the left - it's called Gateway Plaza. Once in the plaza take a right and you'll see Starbucks. Tommy's is next to Starbucks. When you leave there, get on I-189 which will take you right to I-89.
If you'd rather poke around downtown, there is a diner called Henry's on Bank Street, a block west of Church Street.
Have fun!
