Wow Vter! That is fascinating! I believe that we could not possibly know about every creature that
exists on this planet, so it is surely possible for there to be animals that we haven't identified yet. That video is truly compelling.

I'm a stong believer in Champ, however, this look like a big dog as his head is barely over the water and doesn't show that long neck. Towards the end, he seems to be strugly to stay afloat.

When I visited the Burlington area in April, I saw the Champ statue near Echo. Not sure I believe, but was fascinated with the Nessie story as a kid in the 70s and never knew until then that we had an "American version" and that it was here in the Northeast.

I'm not sure it's a dog or a moose. It looks more like a big turtle to me. Who knows! It's too bad the person who was taking the video wasnt a little closer.
Whether or not Champ exists, it's still something fun and interesting.

Its seems Champ sightings rise in proportion to alcohol consumed......tee hee...

Really though, I believe in him/her. As a bird person, I am aware of birds
being 'discovered' that arent 'sposed to exist, anywhere. We know more about
outer space than underwater. I think its totally possible that lots of things exist
that would challenge current thinking. I dont know if the vid might be a set-up or
not, but the monster itself, I think is real

I don't "believe" in Champ, but my brother swears that he once saw him. That makes me confused. THat is normal for the family though. I saw (or more accurately saw the lights of) black helicopters, and my father saw and photographed a daylight UFO.

I haven't seen it but I know people who are certain they have...

I also know there are people who have seen bigfoot or something similar in VT, from the earliest days of Whites settling here and before that the Indians saw it, and in some recent cases (1989 in West Rutland, more recently near Tinmouth, IIRC) not that far from where I live (and in places I spend quite a bit of time...). I once heard (last July) an animal call of some sort in the woods near Tinmouth that I've never heard before...wasn't anything you'd expect in VT, not a bear, not a moose, nothing I recognized, who knows...it was coming from some thick brush about 100 yards from me, then drifted away (I had a rifle but I wasn't going to go there). No footprints that I could find, lots of trees downed there one could walk on, but I'm certain there were no people there. Who knows what it was, lots of possible explanations other than bigfoot...

I did once see a badger, quite unusual, and I suspect it was someone's escaped or released pet...

If you pay attention, and are quiet as you move, you can see lots of unusual things outdoors.

WCAX had the story on a few days ago. I'm not sure who investigated the video, but they said it was most likely a moose. I had a similar experience on Colchester Pond about a year ago. I thought I saw a creature swimming across the pond. It swam at me and when it got close I discovered it was a moose swimming across the pond.
