Budget skiing at Killington, VT?
Hello there!
I'm planning a ski trip next year to Killington. I was wondering when is the most affordable time to go. I'm planning a trip on a budget, so I'm trying to save as much funds as possible.
I've never been to Vermont, so I really don't know what the state is like. What should I budget for? Roughly, how much will it cost for a ski trip for a family of 4?
Thanks!

100.00 a day per person if you rent equipment, about 70.00
if you dont.
Hotel rooms can vary, Im sure if you come down the mountain
into Rutland the hotel will be cheaper than closer to Killington.

Call the main Killington reservations number and see what they can find for you. Tell 'em what your budget is, and I'm sure they'll give you some suggestions.

cheap skiing in killington/vt is possible -
It's possible, for the past 3 years my husband and two daughters have skiied Vermont (Killington, Okemo, Mt. Snow) very cheaply. Got all my deals on ebay, both lodging and lift tickets. Takes some time but so worth it. The best tip is to ski Mon-Friday, when rates for everything is less. We go up Sunday, ski the five days and head home Friday night. Get great skiing in, few crowds and cheaper. Last year the four of us skiied for $375, and that included the 5 bedroom house (we shared with friends of ours). The best time to go is March, great snow, no crowds!
You can PM me for more details if you want.
Good luck.

We skiied there this weekend and it was epic!! Conditions were amazing, tons of snow everywhere. And there were deals to be had everywhere... Good luck with your trip next year.

Hi, all! I'm looking to come from Chicago to ski Killington. Maybe I'm confused, but is there not any major airports within a reasonable driving distance to the resort? I have the option of flying into NYC and driving there with friends, or attempting to fly directly to VT. For scheduling purposes, flying into your state would be easier, I think. Is there a convenient airport?

Albany, Manchester and Burlington airports are all 2-2.5 hr from kmart. There is a small airport in Rutland. Going during the week and avoiding weekends and holidays will not only be cheaper but not as crowded. Getting a ski/lodging package will also save you some money.

Lebanon airport(KLEB) in NH is close(relatively maybe an hour) as well and has some commercial flights.
