I grew up in Thetford, not far from there. Bradford is pretty in some ways (the view of the dam coming into town comes to mind), but we always viewed bradford as sort of a depressing place to go. We'd visit farm-way (mecca for clothes and other stuff, just rammed with vermont-y things of utility), and I took my now wife to a romantic dinner at Colatina Exit and The Perfect Pear. Good memories. But on the other hand, my favorite thing about the town, a music venue called Middle Earth was unceremoniously run out of town by unappreciative neighbors. And, in general the main drag always felt sort of bummed out. That's so subjective it's hilarious, but that's my 2c.

Default What are the schools like in Vermont?

My husband and I are thinking of moving to Vermont with our five children. I am half Spaniard and half Caucasian. My children are half African American, 1/3 Spaniard and 1/3 Caucasian. How diverse is the community? And has there ever been problems with discrimination? What are the schools like for ethnic children? The neighborhoods? Is there a lot of fun things to do there for families?

A Spaniard is considered Caucasian. Perhaps you mean Hispanic?
