Default working at UVM?

Is anyone on here a faculty member at UVM?
I've applied for a faculty position and would like any feedback on what the Uni is like to work for.

Can't comment on how the faculty is, but being a recent grad I can say that the campus is beautiful and the faculty members are great to get along with. It's a very laid-back atmosphere.

The only thing I heard from some other students recently that is negative is UVM is cutting back on programs, eliminating art classes, etc. However, I'd like to find a university that isn't doing that right now with the economy...

I would recommend emailing a faculty member in the department you applied for. Most professors are very helpful and will be happy to answer questions. I'm sure they won't tell you the negatives, but you might get enough feedback to be able to read between the lines. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Thanks, CP.
We have of course been emailing past and present members of the dept concerned (and will be meeting their team in 3 weeks time). It's always useful to get insights from others, so your comments are very useful.

No problem. If you have any questions about the school in general, where to stay, etc, please feel free to ask. Also, if you end up taking the job at UVM, I'm quite familiar with the surrounding towns and can give you some advice on where to move to, winters in Vermont, etc. Of course, asking questions in this forum can be useful as well!
