When I lived in Rutland I didn't hear much racist ranting, but I did hear people complain about "those people coming in from NY and surrounding areas that deal drugs, are in gangs, etc.", of whom were typically either Hispanic or AA. I can't say I shared the opinion. I thought it might have just been people who weren't used to folks that were too much different than then, and only some people seemed to share that opinion. There were some full time Hispanic and AA residents, and they were typically treated with more respect since they weren't outsiders.

By the way, did you know that the actor Luis Guzman lives in VT? He has a bunch of land somewhere out there. He seems to like it, but he is also famous.

Ha! He lives in Plainfield! Awesome character actor turning out some very fine performances in "Boogie Nights" and "Traffic".

Plainfield? I thought it was Sheffield or Sutton. I can find out for sure as a friend of mine over there knows him quite well.

Tim Daly, from Private Practice and other shows, including Wings, has a house in VT as well. I think it is Wallingford. I know it starts with a W. When I worked for Wundrland Pet Lodge (actual spelling) we boarded several of him and his wive's dogs. One of them bit me in the face. That is my one and only brush with fame story, other than seeing David Spade at the airport in Boston.

Truer words could not be spoken. You'll also be on the first page of the Burlington Free Press a lot. And on the news. Burlington loves to show
they don't hate blacks like the rest of America.

Everything is about the "libs" with you isn't it?
If you hate the libs so much, why not leave VT?

If you are a lib why not practice some of that tolerance of others viewpoints that libs are so fond of preaching about?

I can't stand the liberals around here. But I like them better than anyone who uses the term "libs" and turns everything into a political discussion about the "libs".
