Default Apartment in a scenic town within 30 min drive of South Burlington?

I'm looking for an apartment that is within a 30 min drive of South Burlington. Are there other towns nearby that are in a scenic area which are more likely to have better values than the tourist/college city?

If you'd like to PM me, I can put you in touch with a couple of outfits which handle rentals. There aren't an abundance of rentals in the surrounding towns - and there's no central source (like the MLS is for properties for sale), but I can share the resources I have...
The other sources are of course Seven Days and The Burlington Free Press.

Try Richmond, Hinesburg, Monkton, Bristol, Jericho, Underhill, Westford, or Vergennes. Charlotte or Ferrisburg as well. Apartments in these small towns will most likely be "mother-in-law" types, not apt complexes. As Chaz said, you won't find a lot of rentals in the smaller towns though.
For the Vergennes/Bristol area you can check out Addison Independent. Burlington area - sevendaysvt.com or burlingtonfreepress.com
