Hi everyone, I would like to find someone who mushes, or does the wheeled carting with siberian, or malamutes, to give me some pointers. I currently live in West Virginia and I can't locate any one in my area that does these activities with their dogs. I am currently in college, once I get my degree I want to come to Vermont and do some mushing, and be with my kind, I'm in a league of my own here. I am a 47 year old female, would like to hear from anyone male or female that mushes!

Heh, Alaska might be better...but I do know of some mushers in Northern VT, though I don't know them personally...

Here are a couple of links that may be useful. I (and my Siberians) lived in Vermont up until 2 years ago and Gail and Ken were extremely helpful and excited to share information.

Thanks tdna, I e-mailed peacepups...with my questions, I have always thought Vermont was a beautiful state and I've always wanted to do some mushing, or wheeled carting. So it has become my goal to come to Vermont and visit, and I was hoping to get to maybe know some of the folks there, that share my passion of mushing, and being with the dogs. So when I do get to visit, I can hopefully bring my dogs and mush and visit with the people I can hopefully meet. Plus I am new to mushing...a real greenhorn! Therefore, I need a mentor of sorts, to ask questions along the way. Again tdna Thanks...Happy mushing..have a great day..from Debbie,

Vermont is a beautiful state! I hope you're able to get up there with your dogs. There's nothing like being out with them and seeing them so happy, doing what they love to do.

Peacepups is great. Every one of those dogs is considered family and is treated as such. Ken does so much good work for sustainability, the environment and other important causes, too. It's definitely a business I can fully support.
