Certainly not the first time this has happened:

Google

My favorite was about the guy who pulled the cover of the PC because it was overheating. He was playing in his underwear because he was so hot, sweated into the PC and wound up getting electocuted.

That's sad. I love playing video games, but I don't think I could sit in the same position playing one game for 12 hours straight without breaks.

He didn't die because of the Xbox. He died because he was sitting still for 12 straight hours. Replace the Xbox with a book, and it would be the exact same outcome.

I play WoW. It's addicting, yes, but I could not sit there for THAT many hours. People on there get on my nerves, so I eventually sign off.

I also get cramped really quick..so I notice myself moving around.. standing up, etc after awhile.

I just did that last weekend. I played Hunted: the Demon's Forge from beginning to end for about 11 hours straight.

I survived; maybe the kid should have got some exercise inbetween game marathons.
