My friend said its awesome but i didnt get a chance to ask him about it in detail.

I was going to pick up either this or skyrim. Not sure which I want to do. Not sure I want to get involved in another mmorpg again

I'm in the same boat as you. Would love to play it because it's Star Wars, but don't really feel like getting back into MMOs. Also debating between this and Skyrim myself.

I've heard mostly positive things.

Leveling isn't too grindy, great storyline and overall fun gameplay.

Biggest negative being space. Haven't seen it first hand, but from what I've read it reminds me of the old Rebel Assault games from the Win95 days. People mentioned it is supposed to improve.

Also heard servers are stables, log in queues are full, but seem to be easing up as days go by.

This is all second hand info from people I know who have played. I'll probably give it a try in a month or so.

I'm hooked. I haven't had this much fun in an MMO since the early EQ days.

Every time you take or turn in a quest you get a fully voiced cut-scene with dialogue choices, combat is fun, there's a lot to do so it doesn't feel like a grind, upgrades come fairly often, crafting is different (you can send your companions out to do it so you aren't stuck making swords at a forge for hours to level, you can quest and do an instance and still increase crafting), the game runs smoothly, there are queues but I expect them to even out more and more, there are a few bugs so far but nothing game stopping. All in all I'm having a blast.

I just spent a straight 3 hours playing my first character (Sith Warrior), and I'm solidly hooked. Going to run up a couple other classes, but I'm loving the way my warrior plays.

Do you have to pay a monthly subscription to play this game multiplayer online and how much does it cost?

This has to be the dorkiest thread of the month!

I always game online gamers hard time but I used to be one once, hardcore on RVS and even before but to be honest, people who were into games like WoW always made me look and feel less of a dork/geek.

At that price I'd rather have Netflix dvd + streaming. I almost never buy a game where you have to pay a monthly subscription fee to play multiplayer online. I want multiplayer to be free, and in most games I just mostly play the single player campaign.
