I'm at work doing the night shift, so I obviously couldn't show up to the midnight release.

How were they in your area if you went? AND HOW IS THE GAME?!?!?!

Just buy it instantaneously from Steam... But I don't need it now... Now I hope Black Ops will go on sale for cheap now that it's older.

All my friends got it, but not me.

I'm gonna wait a little bit before I pick it up, probably next week or so.

I got it mainly for FFA multiplayer but keep getting a disc read error. Same error occurs on other games so its obviously the console so I'll pick up the 250 gig version today.

Early reviews online are not promising, but I think a lot of them are from BF fanboys instead of true COD fans.

Again, I've only played it for a short time (level 9) but I LOVE it. Similar to MW2 and fun factor is definitely there.

A lot of the reviews complained that the game is way to similar to its prequels, which makes sense. This is what, the eight ed Call of Duty game to come out this generation?

Both titles can be called "Call of Duty: Again" and "Battlefield: Again". It is what it is.

Ive heard mixed reviews, some of the bad ones where a dude didnt like it then played for longer and had liked it by then. Might pick up my copy tomorrow.

Im level 37 now and actually really like it. The playing field seems to REALLY be leveled on this game with all the weapons. Only things I dont like are the campers trying to get kills and level up and getting myself blown up trying to steal what looks like care packages.

Having spent more hours than I care to admit playing BF3, it's far from a rehash of the older Battlefield games. Can't compare it to Black Ops, as I never played that one, but when compared to BF2 or BF:BC2 the changes are drastic.
