Have you ever had a moment in any game that might not have been planned by the game developer as part of the story and just felt magical, special or just unique?

I can think of two off hand... one was The Sims 3; I sent one of my sims to the plaza in the middle of the night and had her play a song on her guitar. For some reason it was just magical, like watching a real performance.

Another was in Skyrim at the Blades temple terrace outside. It was the part where the old guy is telling the other blades lady (I can't remember their names) about a dream while looking down into the canyon below; the dynamic weather and timing came together to create the perfect ambiance, making the dream story feel beautiful and frightening all at once and really making a special moment that I won't forget.

Unplanned moments like that really make a game feel real because you know random factors had to come together for it to happen and it wasn't just a "canned" experience.

What are your best unplanned game moments?

Redneck Rampage with Adult mode activated - You see a girl with her legs spread sprayed in graffiti on the wall in the beginning. Since I was only 9 or so at the time, it was certainly memorable. I knew that game was going to be great from that moment alone.

Conkers Bad Fur Day - When you pollinate the flower. That was hilariously awesome and certainly memorable.

realMyst - The first time you get a sense of the island is very memorable. I remember thinking the graphics were amazing.

Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are full of funny, epic, and sad moments.

When I first played New Vegas I made it straight to New Vegas from Jean as a low level character by sneaking through the "Deathclaw gauntlet". I was so proud.

I forget which track I was on but in Dirt 2, I once rolled my car over the roof of another and landed in the lane next to him without losing any speed. That was pretty sweet.

I've done many unintentional cool things in Grand Theft Auto 4. My highlight would have to be when I sniped the pilot of a police helicopter, and it crashed into another helicopter, causing a mid-air explosion.

I like the train level in Uncharted 2, the boat level in Uncharted 3 and the Mawler level in Killzone 3. Epic!

Yeah man, awesome stuff! Killzone 3 campaign was amazing.

Though Killzone 3 multiplayer looked great, it lacked the "epicness" that killzone 2 had.
