From the you tube videos I have seen thus far, it looks like the controls are kind of sluggish, and the shooting is kind of weird?
Also, some reviews are stating that the eating/sleeping thing gets annoying after a while, as well as the traveling is boring and time consuming.
I still haven't seen any true "game play" reviews. Can you shed sum light bro?
Actually the game controls are excellent. Like I stated previously I'm only on Chapter 2. So far the story telling, graphics, voice acting are top notch. The game is fun IMHO and deserves 2018 game of the year.
Ended up doing a side mission that popped up on the radar, helping a rebellion that was taking place on a far eastern island (Silver Island). Exploring the island and doing the various missions alone took me about 7 hours total. The main side mission was helping two Spartan rebel leaders kill an Athenian leader and drive Athenians from the island.
It's really cool how sometimes you can feel chemistry between two videogame characters, and so it was that I romanced the female rebel leader, Kyra (who was romantically involved with the other male leader, Thealata). Those moments together were some of the coolest things I've done in a videogame. But alas, all good things had to come to an end in a bad way, sadly. I wish they would bring Kyra back in a DLC or something.
My wife told me about a mission where you have to kill cultists. It was buggy and failed to progress the game when she finished. She finally figured out that in order to advance the game you have to stay inside the building. If you lead them outside where it's easier to fight the game fails.
Darkest Dungeon is beginning to kick my ass but beating the levels is oh so rewarding. I feel much more pleasure in doing so than I ever did beating a difficult boss in any given Dark Souls game. Managing the stress levels early on is the biggest challenge.
Hitman 2 is releasing soon, Gamespot gave it an 8 and IGN gave it a 7.7. I really enjoyed the first one few years ago so definitely going to play this one regardless.
Also, Fallout 76 is coming out this week. The beta reviews were not so kind, so that's not a lot of time to incorporate feedback in time for the release. Will be very interesting to see the reviews.
Now at around 100 hours of playtime for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. My love for this game grows, easily my favorite AC game. It is unfortunate that this game does not get the proper respect and love accorded to other open world games like Red Dead II. The sheer amount of work and detail that went into Odyssey is mind boggling.
My wife hates the controls. To her they are clunky. We've played every AC so it's not like we don't know the controls.
But... She is having a blast playing.
