Beta is available this weekend, anyone playing and what do you think?

My quick list of pros/cons

Pros:
-amazing graphics
-Fighting in Star Wars locales again, always fun
-from what I've seen, servers have been pretty stable/no issues getting connected and such

Cons:
-random spawn points
-no control points
-no classes
-no real battle lines, just a giant mess troops fighting

Other thoughts:
-I'm not a fan of the leveling/currency system in a FPS, but thats just me.
-I'm hoping they will have some single player options. I still had fun playing battlefront 2 against AI characters long after people moved on from the game.
-It is a fun game, but not sure if it's worth $60

I had fun despite getting owned in multiplayer. I guess the other players had been going for several hours with better weapons. I agree on the spawn points....it was very chaotic. Still a lot of fun though, and I love the option to do either first or third person. I don't buy too many games, but have this one on pre-order.

The core gameplay was really fun, but it seems pretty bare-bones. And no Clone Wars is a big mistake to me. I definitely don't think it's worth 60 dollars. Maybe $20-$30.

I'm having a good time with the BETA, but I do agree about the fight being one big mess. The map is huge, so anybody can just run around the outside of the map and spawn-rape. Pretty annoying.

Are you saying you HAVE TO play this multiplayer? Like there's no point in buying the game just to play by yourself or with a friend in your house?

It was fun and the graphics, sound effects, music really put you in the Star Wars world.

...and I'm not really a Star Wars fan. I mean I played a lot of the Star Wars games from the 90's and early 2000s, but never really got that deep into the universe.

I don't have any real gripes, I probably won't pre-order it but I'll get it when it comes out.

That being said, I would love some space battles, or the Death Star bombing run, especially with this graphics engine, but I think if this game does well, you might start to see some remakes and more games like this.

There's no campaign mode, but there is a single player/co-op missions. How many, I don't know. There was one available in beta, and it fending against multiple waves of enemies.

I love Star Wars and Battlefront 2 was very fun, this game wont get a dime from me though. No Clone War - PT era planets, heroes, clones, battle droids, no space battles. If they do a PT - Clone War version, ill pick it up. But right now? Nope
