LOL...you need to hang with my husband. Although he loves WOW, he still wants to find a group and play D&D.

There are no more pen-and-paper style role paying games out now?
What do all the old-school nerds do? Just play old stuff?

b.frank - I believe there are upgrades re D&D. Hubby points it out whenever we wander in Barnes & Noble or Borders...and they continue to make boooks, etc.

As much as I like video games, they killed the old geek games like AD&D. Nobody uses their imagination anymore. Everything's got to be linear and orderly and put together by somebody else first.

I see your point, and that's why I was surprised to hear that nobody plays AD&D anymore. I played in the early 80s but sorta grew out of it. My even-more-geeky brother played pen-and-paper games into the mid-90s at least. It seemed like he had about a thousand different titles and new ones kept coming - that's why I thought there must still be a market for that type of RPG. Has the video game market mostly killed that off?

WOW doesn't ruin marriages. People with addictive personalities do.

Yeah, even I put down the crack pipe every once in awhile to make love to my lady or cook her a nice dinner....
People still play AD&D, but they're mostly 35-45 year old geeks that never grew up. It's WoW for the younger crowd.

Hubby is 30 but still a geek and loves both WOW & D&D. LOL...I am 33 and love WOW as well but know older people who play...I guess it depends on how much you love video games in general. My stepfather is turning 57 this year and loves those army computer games like Call of Duty.

How to tell if your man has an addiction:
If you can stand in front of him, shimmy in a brand new Victoria's Secret outfit, and he tells you "Later" or something along those lines. Now, if he puts down whatever he's doing and falls all over you, he doesn't have a problem.
In fact, over the weekend when my guild was raiding Kara, we just got in and got set up to hit Prince, and one of the hunters suddenly said in Vent "Guys I gotta go, the wife wants to have sex!!"
Well, we all cheered him on and wished him well, and we 9-manned it. I mean, come on...there's a man that has his priorities straight!

Hahaha...that's too funny sometimes romainred...what server are you on? Hubby and I sometimes will talk about either having sex, doing an instance, or both...it's usually both.
