Same things goes for us female gamers. I'd rather be with someone who wouldn't call my hobby/fun as "stupid". Everyone has their own likes/dislikes. I find no fun in watching sports on tv, so I'm not going to look for someone who is really in to watching "the game" every single weekend. I'm not in to clubbing every weekend, so I'm not going to want to hang out with someone who wants to party every Friday and Saturday night.

It's not a big deal. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing.

I had a gamer girlfriend many, many years ago. Kicked her tail in Gran Turismo and didn't get laid for weeks.

That's funny. I once beat a friend's daughter in Gran Turismo 2, and she--being around 11 or 12 at the time--didn't take too kindly to it. We raced again, and...only because she was a child...I let her win, which I should've done from the start (again, child, adult women get no preferential treatment).

Why not? I actively dated men with a lot of shared interests, including gaming, especially MMOs and RPGs. I played with past partners, and quite a bit, so this shared activity was always a huge plus. Those partners were also stoked to find and date a fellow gamer. I have typically preferred PC, and now with Steam machines, that opens up more possibilities.

My husband and I play games together when we're not busy engaging in other shared geek/nerdom activities.

Been meaning to reply to this...over the years I've come across dozens of women who enjoy 'boy' games. I don't log on a lot, but GTAOnline has plenty of females on, some adults, many younger-sounding women (late teens, I'd guess). Almost ANY MMO will have a lot of women nowadays. I was in several guilds over the years ran by women. Players met and got married in real life, having played Everquest together for awhile.

My last GF wasn't into games at all and she wasn't even real computer savvy. Honestly I think it would be awesome if my next one was, and maybe into some board games as well.
