Anyone who's clumsy as me as to letting their "friend" borrow MGS eons ago and having it returned full of fumigation spray/gas/whatever the hell it was and not willing to pay $60+ for a torn up copy of the game online or wants to know what's the hype surrounding MGS4 for the PS3, Konami just release the "Essentials Collection", which retails for $30. It brings the essentials, Metal Gear Solid(on the original PSX format), MGS2 Subsentence(brings several other gaming modes) and MGS3 Subsistence(which only brings the 1st disc of the game, not the second containing Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2).

Also, Gamestop is accepting reservations for the limited edition of Guns of the Patriots. It brings the following:

"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots PS3 in collectible metal box

Blu-ray DVD containing:

* 2 Making of Documentaries of MGS4 game - interview with Kojima
* 4 chapters of the graphic novel
* Metal Gear Import Soundtrack CD

Additionally, customers reserving the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Limited Edition will receive a Gamestop Exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4 Art Book at time of purchase. Offer good while supplies last. See stores for details.
"

It's going to retail for $84.99. No thank you. I consider myself a diehard MGS fan, hell, it's the only series that I've bought games that were part of the canon, and almost mistaking myself into buying the horrible VR Missions years ago after buying MGS thinking it was going to be great, thankfully I first rented it(I'll admit playing the Cyborg Ninja was cool). It would be a great investment by keeping it and inflating the price on Ebay, but I don't have the money for that. The $$$ being saved is going towards the bundle.

Good way to milk the series before the "final" game. Now to sell the MGS3 that came with the Essentials package and maybe MGS2 Subsistence as well. *Can't wait 'til June!!!*
