The Best Video Game Series of All Time.
What do you think the best Video Game Series of all time is?
For me, it's a close one between the Final Fantasy series and the Metal Gear Series, I chose Metal Gear, due to the fact I did not like the recent Final Fantasy's.

I'd say FF because it basically defined the whole RPG genre.

My personal favourites are the Metal Gear/Solid series, Megaman (From 1 to the latest entry, with a few exceptions), Zelda, and Star Ocean. If I had to pick one, it'd probably be Star Ocean.

I can't decide!
Final Fantasy
Zelda
Star Ocean
Castlevania
I refuse to choose just one!

Thats so true, although times have changed to the point I no longer like RPG's because all of the new ones are not turn based. I liked the whole "enter the battle and take turns hitting each other" (thats what my friend called it back when I introduced him to them.)
I tried out FF12 and hated how it was more like a MMO than an old school rpg, like FF1-10. I love the Chrono (Trigger/Cross) Series also. Chrono Trigger was my favorite game for a long time. I also enjoyed Super Mario RPG when that came out. I wish I still had my SNES!

The different battle system in FFXII is precisely why I loved it the most out of all of 'em. >.> Although Crisis Core is working its way into my heart.
Turned based RPGs are becoming few and far between, though. There are still a few out there, like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, but the massive success of games like KOTOR and the MMO's seem to be spurring developers to make more real time RPGs. Although, Star Ocean and the Tales Of... series both have mastered that concept, having done it since the SNES era.

As much as I love Sonic the Hedgehog, the newer games haven't really done much for me.... or others.
I have to say the Mario Bros. Series, mainly because that's the Grandaddy series.
