Looking for a new game (single, 2000, joysticks)

Hi all, I have a question for all of you guru's out there. I am getting interested in getting a game for the pc about flight simmulation and I am courious about what game to get? What kind of accessories that you need? (yokes, pedals, and joysticks) I have high speed internet, but, it is wildblue so it makes the game choppy. So, I am more interested in a single player than multi-player. Thanx all for your help.

Ace Combat was so realisitic the inversion made my friend vomit after a few beers. I don't know if they make it for PC, but it would be worth a look.

Flight simulation...hmmm...nope...doesn't ring a bell. I think Apple may have made one years ago or something.

The latest version of Flight Simulator, whatever it may be. I used the 2000 version with a logitech joystick.
