Anyone get this yet? I hope to get it this weekend but I am not too thrilled about the Steam feature ...

I agree it really ticks me off that the game companies assume that I am going to steal their game. So....right now I let them keep their damn game and I'll keep my $50.

I've read some reviews... Amazing game graphically and it covers a great period of time. But the AI is just terrible. It doesn't attack, it can't even cross oceans so if you play as Britian you are essentially safe. I've heard that it tends to lock up as well.

Sounds like it needs to be patched and then let the modders do there thing with it to improve the AI and realism (some mods are already out).

And yeah the Steam feature is not desirable, but I think that's only with the downloadable copy, right?

Yup, Steam verified.

Now I've been reading on this game and I see lots of users with issues - lots of crashes, lags, freezes. Problems with Steam, and problems with the game. Lots of angry people are reporting it unplayable, and those are people with high-end computers. Anyone that wants this game may want to wait for about 6 month until the developers patch it up.
