Nintendo Virtual Boy Question
Hi, hope someone can help me. I just bought a Virtual Boy.I don't know that much about them. I was wondering, when I turned the system on, it does'nt come on until you put the game in. Is that the way it is supposed to work? Thank you fro any replies.

Um, I'm not experienced with the Virtual Boy, but what I do know about most Nintendo systems, you have to put the game in BEFORE you turn it on; kind of like those old computers with the green monitors and the 5.25" floppy boot disks you have to put in to start up the machine. I think (with my limited knowledge) that the XBox was the first console to actually be usable even if you turned it on without a game in it; it has a hard drive built in with software on it.
So are you having any problems playing it or are you just wondering if you bought a defective one?

Virtual Boy
No, I was just wondering.I was afraid that it was defective. It does takes awhile for the game to work. I don't think I put them in securely enough. If I shove them in hard they work. I was not familiar with the system, so was'nt sure. I got it for 50 and I was afraid they sold it knowing it did'nt work.
I know with a Sega Saturn, it came on without a disc in it and I think that was before the XBox.

I love old game systems like that but I never was able to get my hands on a Nintendo Virtual Boy.
I still play my Sega Saturn though.

Wait til you go to the hospital from the seizures! hehehe
I'd love to get my hands on one of those bad boys. It's not a Nintendo until you have to blow into the cartridge, wiggle it a bit then press it down at the perfect time to get it to work.
