1. Modern Warfare 2

Honorable mention to:

Half Life
Unreal Tournament
Doom III
Quake II and IV

Whats so amazing about these games is, I can come back to this thread in an hour, and/or depending on my mood, any of the 7 games I listed could be in the top three. They are all fantastic.
Wow, you still like Doom and Quake... They are classics; That is a fact.

I love my FPS games. Unfortunately, all my home computers are Macs so havent played those games in years. But, for the sheer fun of it, those games were hard to beat.

One of these days, when I have time, I'll build another gaming PC to set up in the garage when I feel like playing PC games.

1. The Sims series. I started playing the original game years ago and have been hooked ever since. It's been awesome seeing the game evolve into what it is now.

2. Dark Cloud.

3. Eternal Sonata.

Resident Evil (Gamecube)
Metal Gear Solid 3 (Playstation 2)
Gears of War (Xbox 360)

I really enjoyed Resident Evil on the Gamecube. I thought the game was well done. That was a game that I could play over and over and over. I went to my friends house and finish the game for him since he couldn't do it. I did not find the game scary or anything but I love the atmosphere of the game, the idea of managing your items and using your weapons conservatively. I like how Capcom put the original music back in the remake rather than from the Director Cut. I enjoy how Capcom went out of their way to make the game different from the Playstation version including adding more puzzles and changing up the scenario. Despite Chris having less item slots and help from others, I manage to beat the game faster with him. That in itself was an accomplishment for me.

Metal Gear Sold 3 is my favorite from the Metal Gear Series. I like the outdoor feeling and I got to experience one of the greatest boss battles in any game with The End. It took me two hours to beat The End due to the nature of the design. It was a bit of a cat and mouse game through various areas. The interesting thing about is how you are giving the opportunity to kill the guy before the encounter. That is awesome. Metal Gear Solid 3 also explains the Metal Gear story since its basically the beginning and its a big improvement over MGS2 in better coherent story which sets the events of the entire series.

Last game on my list is Gears of War. Great campaign, Epic brought something new to the table and in my opinion perfected the cover system. The multiplayer was a blast and its my favorite from the series. Gears 1, the multiplayer was simple yet there was so much to learn and master. Gears 2 and 3 took that away from the player and focused too much on XP (i.e. reward losers) and a horrible pacing in the campaigns.
