Ah, Ok. Let me try that. I'm starting to think I'm going to have to remake this movie in live.

That means the source files were either moved or deleted.
When you're using an editor you're source video might be in My Documents/My Videos or wherever you transferred them too from your camcorder. When you import the video into WMM all it does is import a reference to it. If the source file is moved or deleted the reference is no longer valid since it doesn't exist at that location.

I'm right clicking on the individual clips, getting the location, and then I go check to see if the clip is there. Is that the way to do it?

That's correct, have the source files been moved or altered in any way?
Edit: nvm, already answered :P
that would be the way to do it, yes.

Although, if the file successfully opens and Braunwyn can play the file, wouldn't that suggest that the sources are valid?

I'm definitely going to try using live again. It looks easier and it has transitions. I'm guessing you can narrate over it as well.

Maybe you can open the project file you made in 2.6 with the live version, and save it...as long as it works and you don't have to redo it all, that'd be awesome.

I have another question if you guys don't mind. Is there a way to easily fit the video to a window? My vids were taken with an ipod and they look tall/skinny, rather than square.

So your videos are vertical rather than horizontal? I'm sure you could crop the tops and bottoms of the clips off but that would remove a LOT of your content. You'll probably have to just stick with the black squares on each side.
Youtube videos are "widescreen" so make sure you have that aspect selected or they will also add black boxes above and below the video to make it the correct aspect.
